With the Rambler 20 oz. Tumbler, your beverages will stay ice cold or piping hot longer. We over-engineered these double-wall insulated tumblers with an 18/8 stainless steel body, which means your drink still keeps its temperature no matter how much of a beating this cup takes. They’re BPA-free (obviously), have a No Sweat Design to make sure your hands stay dry, and are dishwasher-safe. Plus its crystal-clear lid lets you check your drink status in a flash. The YETI 20 oz Rambler Tumbler stands 6 7/8 in high and has a lip diameter of 3 1/2 in. All YETI Tumblers are sized to fit in standard sized cup holders.

Ok, so I like my coffee HOT, and sometimes it takes me a while to drink it if I’m busy or distracted. So I want a cup that keeps it hot but also helps me prevent dumping it when I knock it over.After reading all the reviews on multiple cups, and ignoring the Chinese knock offs as much as possible, I bought two 20 oz tumbler s, a Yeti and The Beast, and put them to my tests for my two needs.I left the two cups on the counter overnight, and the next morning I filled them up with boiling water (boils at 198 degrees where I am).I then filled both cups at the same time, put the lids on, opened the drink opening and tested the water.Starting temp - 186 degreesOne of the first things I noticed was the lid on the Beast cup pushed itself up due to the pressure caused by the VERY hot water. This was not occurring on the Yeti. So that means that the Beast cup was sealed tighter, but it also means that the lid being pushed up could allow for spills. After the 2nd hour of testing, and pushing the lid back down, the Beast lid stopped pushing up.I left the water in for 8 hours, testing at the top of each hour passed. I only opened the drink ports to take the temp and then closed them back up.After 8 hours the water in BOTH cups was the same - 110 degrees.So now I tested the spill factor.At first I used cold water, filled the cups and turned them over.The Beast cup never lost a drop. The Beast has a drink port that seals by pushing it down into the lid.The Yeti with the magnetic slide lid, dripped but it didn’t gush. So if you were quick to grab it, you would t lose much.THEN I tested with HOT water.BIG DOWNSIDE for the Beast. See video attached.I filled both cups with hot tap water, which at my place is 125 degrees. I then held the cups upside down and the Yeti I even shook upside down.So the Yeti did the same thing with hot as with cold. It only lost a few drops, even when shaking it.The Beast did what I thought it might - in under a minute the lid came off! This was due to the lid pushing itself off due to the pressure.Yes, the Beast is 100% spill proof, as long as the liquid in it does not cause enough pressure to push the top up. If it is too hot, and you knock it over, there’s a very good chance the entire contents will dump out.If the Beast had a pressure release - so let’s say a very small hole drilling in the lid, then this could most likely be avoided.Even though the Beast is $10 cheaper, I’m gonna go with the Yeti since I put very hot drinks in them.Note - in the pics the Beast is on the left and the Yeti is on the right.

It's easy to see why these are so popular, and why they're not usually discounted. This travel tumbler does everything right, as far as I can tell.

1. It keeps my coffee hot for four hours. That's past the point where the coffee becomes rancid and undrinkable, so full marks.

2. It's cool to the touch even when the contents are boiling hot. Full marks.

3. It fits perfectly and remains stable in the cup holder of my 2015 Subaru Forester, yet is still easily removable. Full marks.

4. The lid is easy to attach and remove. It always secures completely, with no "seems tight but really isn't." It doesn't leak in normal use (I include not overfilling it as a condition of "normal"). It's easy to open and close the slider, and that doesn't leak either. Full marks.

5. The whole thing washes nicely in the dishwasher.

6. The optional handle works really well, is comfortable and balanced, and stays on even though it's just a pressure fit.

So in my own use, it's pretty much perfect. Except that it's so expensive that I'm afraid to take it outside the car or my house. Maybe that just means I'll be more careful with it.

I have a bad habit of forgetting about my tea that I make in the morning and bring with me to work but then I always feel guilty about having to dump it and make new tea. This cup has made it so that I can sip on the same tea all day and it's still warm! (And don't worry, I also drink a lot of water throughout the day, so I'm not just drinking one tall cup of tea a day for my liquid intake).
More seriously though, I really do like this cup. It works well for keeping drinks at a good temp, is dishwasher safe, and while it is not leak proof it does prevent leakage so long as you don't tip it fully upside down.

The seal on the lid isn't waterproof, but not advertised to lay on its side. It fits perfectly in a car cup holder. We also bought the handle which is also sturdy, simple, functional and good-looking. The paint is high quality, we love the deep red color, this should last a lifetime. The 20 oz size is big enough without being bulky. The vacuum is very efficient to keep cold or hot. Sure, it's somewhat expensive, but is replacing all those other inexpensive, fragile, ineffective mugs we used until they failed.

These are the best travel mugs. They keep drinks hot or cold for a very long time. You can purchase additional lids with the large reusable straws for cold drinks or water. They wash very well in the dishwasher. We love the colors. We love how they feel when you hold them in your hand and how they don't leak in our bags. At first the lids are super tight and a bit hard to remove and put back on, but over time that goes away. I have had one for a long time now and washed it in the dishwasher I don't know how many times and it is still good as new. I love buying these to give as gifts, they are great gifts! We will be buying more for sure.
