Crock Pot Beef Stroganoff with Sour Cream

Beef Stroganoff is one of the ultimate comfort foods and has many variations. Our beef Stroganoff recipe is easily made in the crock pot and is best served with rice, noodles or mashed potatoes.

2 lbs top round steak, cut into strips
1 lb fresh mushrooms, sliced
1 medium onion, sliced
1/4 tsp thyme
3/4 cup dry sherry (optional)
3/4 cup beef broth
3/4 tsp dry mustard
1/4 tsp garlic salt
1 1/2 c. sour cream
1/4 c. flour


1. Put all the ingredients  in the crock pot, stir well and cook on low for 8 hours.

2. Mix 1-1/2 cup sour cream with 1/2 cup flour, stir into crock pot and heat through.

3. Serve over egg noodles, rice or mashed potatoes


Since this recipe does not contain a lot of vegetables, we recommend a side serving of steamed broccoli to make sure you get your five a day.
