    For anyone with more than one kid, the cards are made out of the same plastic that the “never rip” books are. It’s extremely durable which is why I decided to leave a review. It seems like such a simple toy but it’s pretty underrated I think. The clip is also thick and sturdy, but it’s also plastic, and my 3yo is able to unclip it by themselves, which I don’t love. My only issue is the string that suspends the toy is just nylon string tied in a knot, stitched ribbon all throughout might have been a better choice I think.

    I bought this for my then 2-week old baby and at 9 weeks he is still engaged with this mobile. It is such an incredibly simple design and very simply made, but it holds his attention in his carry cot when waking or trying to self-soothe during day-time naps. We always take it along too when out for lunch or on slightly longer car journeys as it can attach easily to the car seat handle. I would love to ask the company making these to please make one that moves automatically as my little one loves it, particularly when I spin it and he can see all the moving shapes and patterns. For the price I don't think you will find a nicer mobile for a newborn and young infant. Great!

    Our baby is sleeping in a bassinet for the first 6 months so we needed a mobile that could accommodate a soft sided travel bassinet. We would have loved to get the bigger version of the Mahattan Toy Wimmer Ferguson mobile for her crib but it wasn't practical as she won't start sleeping in the crib until 6 months of age.

    The Bassinet we have came with a canopy and simple dangling soft toys. We promptly stripped down the canopy and included toys and clipped the cartoon like blue clip of the travel mobile onto the canopy arch. We adjusted the height of the Mobile each week as her eye sight developed and she definitely showed interest in it through various stages of her development. An excellent choice for aiding in the development of a childs eye sight. The bottom three cards are double sided so can be flipped once eye sight has developed further.

    We love that it's so portable it folds relatively flat and can clip onto any arching canopy such as car seat, stroller, travel bassinet, etc.

    Overall we are so glad we bought it for the first months and will look into another Mobile from Manhattan Toy once she moves into her crib.
