I've got three kids ages 3, 21 months and 7 weeks olds, so I've got a ton of stuff to cart around, even as a sort of diaper bag minimalist (emergency clothes for three and me, dipes for two, wipes, small cream and roll of disposal bags, sanitary items, chapstick, wallet, phone, sunglasses, keys, and periodically snacks and two sippy cups). I've been through 5 different backpacks for diaper bags, 3 of which were specifically made as diaper bags. I spent a stupid amount of time searching for the perfect diaper bag backpack, and never found one that has all the right number and placement of pockets until this bag. It seriously has the best configuration of pockets. Ease of access has been my complaint about using a backpack as a diaper bag because if I'm standing in line at the grocery store with three little ones, and I have to get my wallet out to pay, my phone out for coupons, my keys/glasses out for the car, and usually also have to throw a wipe at someone/something, this bag lets me get stuff out and put it back FAST with two hands because it'll attach right to the cart or stroller handle. LOVE it. Smart bag. Looks great too.
I can't mark it down for this, but I will say I wish for two more things: a sturdy place to carabine or stash my water bottle on the outside of the bag since I'm nursing and need water constantly, and I'd also like the straps of the bag to be a little more contoured or less slick or something so that when I just want to put it on one shoulder, like when I'm just trying to get us all unloaded and back in the house, it won't slide off super easily. I usually end up putting both straps on or grabbing the "go handle" at the top, so it's not a huge deal. This bag would just be and 11 out of 10 if those two things were accommodated. Everything else on this bag makes so much sense. The stroller straps are amazing, the big elastic pockets inside, the magnetic flap pouch on the outside, the insulated pouch and the key clip...I'm telling you, it's the best. I think I might even be able to send the kids to grandma's for an overnight with this bag since I still have plenty of room left inside.
One more thing worth mentioning, I've only had this bag for about two weeks, so I don't know yet if I'll have any of the rip/tearing problems others have had before the company's manufacturing change - yep, I read all those reviews - BUT the company has already made contact twice to make sure I know how to make good on the lifetime warranty should any problems arise. Easy. With three kids, I'm pretty hard on diaper bags, so I plan on updating this review when we've put a little more wear and tear in. It seems very sturdy so far.
