It scoops coffee. That's nice. However it has a nice heavy feel so I can actually feel it when I am scooping my morning coffee. The handle is easy to hold and the scoop is wide so you aren't piling up the coffee. It measures 2 Tablespoons, so that is what I use in my morning pot. My old scoop was a long handled plastic one with a deep "well" and it got annoying and never filled properly. I like how it comes with 2 so you can keep one with your different types of coffee if you are that kind of fancy.
